The Heli Hauler is used to haul your helicopters, planes, tool box, and whatever you need to bring with you to the flying field, or back fourty up north. No more piling everything inside the cab of your truck, on the seats, or on the floor. With the Heli Hauler you can have everything in the truck box with easy access to all your equipment. Just open the tail gate and pull out your stuff. The Heli Hauler has a built in latch so you will not pull it out of the slides. Not only does the heli hauler work good for transporting your gear, it also doubles as a table top work area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Heli Hauler is user configurable. Meaning you can mount your helis and gear however your want. It is recomended that if you use a auxillary battery that you mount it on the front of the Heli Hauler closest to the cab.

 

The heli hauler design is unique in that no holes need to be drilled for installation. That was one goal in our design. In the event that your vehicle is not compatible with drill-less installation, you may have to drill holes to mount the Heli Hauler. There is a  mounting kit that you can purchase to do this. There is also an optional trim kit. It adds a nice finished look and will help strengthen up weaker plywood grades.

 

The base is made from light weight 6105-T5 clear anodized T-slotted aluminum. The slide rail guides use 6063 aluminum. The guides and slides are made from polyethylene (UHMW) material. Great for hot and cold temps. The base is 6'-1" long. The usable area is 4'x6'-5". The extension length is 4'-6". The Heli Hauler is currently only designed for short box trucks, but we can design one for your normal sized  box if you need.

  

The Heli Hauler base kit includes everything needed to assemble the main base frame and sliding platform. You must provide the platform material. We recomend using 1/2 inch plywood as your platform material like the one shown in the photos above. You must also select the type of vehicle you have to get the mounting hardware needed to secure the Heli Hauler.  If your vehicle is not listed below then you will have to select the bolt down option. You will need to provide your own bolts for this option so you get the correct length.

The trim kit uses 6063 'U' channel aluminum. All holes are predrilled for 1/2 inch plywood. All mounting screws are included. It's a great finishing touch if you use carpet like I have on mine.

The photos below show the Heli Hauler mounted in a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500. You can see the Heli Hauler is great way to transport your models. You can also see the the optional tie downs in the released, and tied down orientations. With the Heli Hauler you can also mount your favorite tool box, and bring your accessory flight bag along, and still have room for a couple folding chairs and a small cooler.
